Benchmarks on Wikirate

How to explore benchmarks

Benchmarks let you compare companies and navigate from top-level results down to the underlying data. This feature enables easier analysis, allowing you to see how companies stack up against each other.

How to find Benchmarks

Benchmarks can be found easiest using one of the 2 methods below:

  1. You can find featured benchmarks on the homepage under Featured ratings, to see all the benchmarks and ratings on Wikirate you can click the “View all ratings” link
  2. Use the search bar to find the specific benchmark you are looking for, e.g. Social Benchmark

Key Features

When you are on a benchmark page, you will find a number of tabs that allow you to learn more about the benchmark, its methodology, and how the companies scored.

1. Details

Here you can find information about the benchmark and the formulas and weightings that go into each level of the benchmark. You can see the weighting that each section contributes to the overall score at each table row  by clicking either the whole row or the chevron icon at the left edge of the row. You can also see the type of metrics that make up the benchmark: research, score, and rating.

2. Companies

The Companies’ tab shows you the scores achieved for each company and each corresponding year on the benchmark. You can see all the years and associated scores by using the dropdown arrows. On this tab you will also find the number of answers, companies and years covered within the benchmark. To expand a table row and see the underlying data, just click on the whole row or the chevron icon at the left edge of the row.

By clicking on the score of a company, you can navigate down the company scoring from the top level, through each section, and down to the underlying data by clicking either the whole row or the chevron icon at the left. You can see the % weighting each metric contributes to the section above.

3. Inputs

The Inputs tab displays all the metrics that go into making up each of the company scores. This tab is filtered by the underlying research metrics by default, this can be disabled by clicking the X next to the filter badge.

4. Sources

The Sources tab displays all sources behind the benchmark data. From here, you can access the webpages or reports where the data is from.

5. Datasets

This tab displays all datasets that feature the metric for the overall benchmark score.

6. Calculations

This tab displays the metrics that use the overall benchmark score as a variable in their calculations/formulas.
