Companies with such huge market capitalization have a massive influence on the entire fashion world when it comes to creating a good workplace for the female workforce.
The metrics in this data set are attempting to cover these stages and challenges women face during their careers: From gaining better education and skills to finding a job, struggling for a promotion, to starting a family, every woman faces at least one of these events during her work-life.
The metrics used are in alignment with various frameworks and standards, such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and the Poverty Footprint. Some of the questions addressed are, for example: What is the total number of female employees? What is the average pay of female workers? What percentage of management positions are filled by women? Is the company's CEO male or female? What percentage of people on the company's board of directors are women? Does the company specify targets on gender equality and women’s empowerment?
