Suppliers comply with laws and company’s policies (direct / tier 1) [see p. 2 Supplier Code of Conduct]; Prohibit use of forced labour (direct / tier 1) [see pp. 2-3 Supplier Code of Conduct in alignment with ILO indicators of Forced Labour]; Prohibit use of child labour (direct / tier 1) p. 1: “We explicitly prohibit […] child labor”; p. 4: “When new suppliers are onboarded, Cisco assessesfor modern slavery risks, which includes an assessment ofwhether the supplier employs vulnerable workers(for example, foreign migrant workersandyoung workers). If risks are identified, we follow up to determine if impacts need to be addressed prior to scaling business with the supplier”

! Regarding contracts including clauses on forced labour: Cisco states that contracts have to be in language the workers understand; Cisco makes a link between contracts being understandable to workers and avoiding forced labour, but there is no explicit statement on having a contract that includes clauses on forced labour.

The company has a policy against forced and child labour beyond tier 1, as their Supplier Ethics Policy extends to suppliers' suppliers, and is based on their Supplier Code of Conduct (see p.2).

p. 2: The Supplier Codecof Conduct prohibits the use of forced, bonded (including debt bondage) and indentured labor, involuntary or exploitative prison labor, slavery, or trafficking of persons, and prohibits unreasonable restrictions on workers’ freedom of movementas well as child labor. Cisco suppliers are required toacknowledge the Supplier Codeof Conductas part of doing business with Cisco. Furthermore, the Supplier Code of Conductis afoundational element of our Supplier Ethics Policy(outlined below).

p. 3 Our Supplier Ethics Policy requires Cisco suppliers and their employees to conduct themselves with the higheststandards of honesty, fairness, and personal integrity. Suppliers must ensure that theiremployees, subcontractors, agents, and third parties assigned to provide services or products to Cisco act consistently with this policy.
