This metric is based on the Global Reporting Initiative's (GRI) Sustainability Reporting Guidelines & Apparel and Footwear Sector Supplement, pilot version. It covers the requirements of Indicator AF27, from the aspect: diversity and equal opportunity, "Policy and actions to protect the pregnancy and maternity rights of women workers."
Methodology
This question relates to issues such as pregnancy testing, forced abortions, women’s health, and child care leave. The disclosure also intends to capture systems and practices to take into account the special circumstances of pregnant women, such as, but not limited to: emergency response; chemical use; work/work station adjustment.
