Vague. "Apple also provided funding to the independent non-profit organization IMPACT, to develop an impact measurement framework based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This effort aims to harmonize the measurement of socio-economic and environmental protection impacts of projects in Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining (“ASSM”) communities." p. 9

Agreed that it is vague but also states that "SupplierCare extends capability-building by providing on-demand educational content to increase understanding of our Code and best practices to maintain compliance with our Standards, including foreign contract worker protections and the responsible sourcing of minerals. In 2020, we engaged over 1,050 suppliers with digital training content." pg 16

The statement also includes links to Apple's Supplier Responsibility Standards Annual Progress Report (https://www.apple.com/supplier-responsibility/pdf/Apple_SR_2021_Progress_Report.pdf), which detail how Apple measures suppliers and supports performance improvement.
