Sky has announced its female employees are paid, on average, 11.5 per cent less than its male employees, with a bonus gap of 40 per cent. The broadcaster said this was because there are more men than women in the group’s most senior positions, and also more men in higher paying “role types” such as tech or digital. In both the upper and upper middle pay quartiles at Sky, 73 per cent of roles are held by men.
