However it is unclear whether this refers to independent reporting or self-reporting.

Wynnstay seems to be in their initial (first) round of self-reported auditing processes that, at the time of the statement, had still been in progress. However, no mention was made of any future monitoring procedures envisioned, e. g. a time interval for regular audits.
