Visa states it is committed to conducting due diligence proceedings for all of its suppliers: "each Visa supplier is subject to a thorough due diligence process. Our review is tailored to the type of supplier and the activities the supplier will be performing for Visa, and may include background screening, sanctions screening, or review of anti-bribery controls, for example." However, it seems like this due diligence is prospective, and there is no indication that it is regularly renewed.

Later in the Statement, Visa stipulates that "[t]he Global Sourcing team will also be responsible for implementing, assessing and enforcing compliance with the forthcoming supplier code of conduct as part of a new supplier performance management process." Perhaps the supplier code of conduct will provide more details about the due diligence policies the company plans to implement to consistently monitor their suppliers' activities and ensure they don't engage in activities that could amount to modern slavery.
