Page 2 of the company's statement:

"Local staff members of the CSR Promotion Project established at our overseas production subsidiaries bases have been playing a central role in conducting on-site inspections of our suppliers in China, but in fiscal 2021-2022, we had to suspend these inspections due to the spread of the Covid-19. Casio continues the on-site inspections to suppliers to realize the ideal situation."

Casio Group Procurement Policy (https://world.casio.com/csr/social/materiality/procure/) indicates that a monitoring of suppliers' compliance with procurement policies is in development, stating the following:

"In order to ensure compliance with the Procurement Policies together with its suppliers, Casio has established the Supplier Guidelines (available at link below). All of Casio's suppliers in Japan and elsewhere have agreed to these guidelines to help Casio fulfill its social responsibilities.

Casio is also managing its supply chain more successfully by introducing a regular monitoring system that ensures that these guidelines are properly fulfilled."

Casio requests all of its suppliers to fill out a CSR questionnaire. The questionnaire covers human rights and labour, safety and health, the environment, fair trade and ethics, quality and safety, information security, and social contribution. The responses to the questionnaire are aggregated and analysed. Feedback is provided to suppliers on the results of the analysis as well as the approach Casio takes to CSR procurement, and support is provided for activities to make improvements at each company.
