A central component of this guideline is the UBS Responsible Supply Chain Standard...The standard defines our expectations toward vendors and their subcontractors regarding legal compliance, environmental protection, avoidance of child and forced labour, nondiscrimination, remuneration, hours of work, freedom of association, humane treatment, health and safety and anticorruption issues. In respect of modern slavery, the standard explicitly defines our requirement as “Suppliers shall not use any form of forced, imprisoned, indentured, bonded, or involuntary labour”. We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. (p.5)
