"We consider that the investment services that we provide are very unlikely to be affected by slavery and human trafficking as are the supply chains of those we use for the purchase of goods and services. We perform background checks on all our associates and employees, participate in a global procurement process and carry out due diligence on all our major supply chain partners. This includes taking steps to ensure confirmation of their compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including employment laws and, where applicable, the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

All employees are expected to comply with Capital Group's Code of Ethics Policy, which sets out basic principles designed to guide our employees, officers and directors. Our employees have a responsibility to speak up and immediately report any illegal or unethical behavior, such as modern slavery and have a free and confidential Open Line available for them to do so."
