The company does not specifically mention about the possibility of increasing risk of modern slavery.
p. 6: Uncertain about whether this counts or not:
"We select suppliers for assessments based on a number of factors, such as their geographic location — which may put them at higher risk of forced labor violations — as well as their previous performance and/or history of violations or allegations. Suppliers may also receive additional specialized assessments based on the nature of their business or employee population, such as those that employ FCWs, and those located in higher-risk migration corridors. In 2022, across more than 800 Code assessments, we found no instances where anyone was forced to work in our supply chain."
Page 12:
"We also implemented weekly labor process reviews, monthly internal audits and Apple Supplier Code of Conduct training for their employees, and we increased the frequency of supplier employee interviews and satisfaction surveys." --> I believe the results are considered KPIs and used to be taken into consideration for improvement.
The supplier selection process does take the level of risk into account, but there is nothing in the statement that explicitely says that Apple has changed / reviewed its business KPIs in light of modern slavery concerns.
