The statement makes no mention of engaging with any workers in the entire supply chain. The only stated dialogue between the company and its direct supply chain workers is initiated by the workers themselves when they want to raise a concern about an issue or suspicion of modern slavery (section 5 "actions to report modern slavery or human trafficking." This is indirect (facilitated through local managers) and is not initiated by the company as part of due diligence to identify risks (but by the workers who themselves have identified risks or incidents).
