Possible project?

within the electronics initiative, it could be an interesting project to look at the tax each company pays relative to its revenue, by country. For example, this overview (http://wikirate.org/Page_000003906) shows that Amazon pay a tiny amount of tax against their German sales.

it would require just two metrics per company, annual revenue in the country (e.g Germany) and annual tax paid in that country. The second figure I imagine would be harder to come by. Ideas appreciated.

I've wondered when this would come up. If we do "revenue for Germany", "revenue for US", "revenue for Ghana", as separate metrics, then surely we're going to want some way to break that down into smaller metrics.

We could conceivably try to come up with patterns for "per country" metrics (in which case we'd be making "countries" a thing on WikiRate). We could also try to have a more generic pattern so that you could group data like this in other ways. It's worth brainstorming other ways this could come up.
