Musim Mas is a palm oil producer based in Singapore. It employs 28 500 employees and offers its products in 80 countries. It resulted from a soap factory named Nam Cheong in Medan, North Sumatra, founded by Anwar Karim in 1937. He founded Musim Mas as a soap factory in 1972. It is under the management of his children Bachtiar Karim, Burhan Karim and Bahari Karim. Bachtiar Karim is among the richest people of Indonesia. It is the second largest palm oil company in the world in terms of volume of palm products handled.  Musim Mas has the largest palm oil refinery of the world (Source: Wikipedia).

The Musim Mas groups controls, among others, the P.T. Musim Mas. P.T. Musim Mas produces and distributes palm oil products. It offers; cooking oils; fatty acids and alcohols; glycerin; and household cleaning products, such as softeners, floor cleaners, and dishwashing and hand soaps. The company also provides margarine and shortening products; medium chain triglyceride; palm wax derivatives; soap noodles; bath, laundry, and multipurpose soaps; and specialty fats. In addition, it owns ships, tankers, a grain terminal, and bulk tank terminals. The company was founded in 1972 and is based in Medan, Indonesia (Source: Businessweek).
