"GHG emissions for 2014 reached 1,149,718 tons of CO2e, with an increase of 23.43% compared to 2013 (931,504 tons CO2e), due to greater power generation at the Termocentro power plant (historical record of the plant) in response to the low hydrology registered in the country and the need to guarantee the continuity of the electric power supply to the National Interconnected System (SIN)."
