I tried to export data for companies belonging to the group Company Engagement, and got data for the whole set of companies.

This is not as quick-and-easy as it may seem, and it's not exactly a bug. It's hard to see this, but the export links are actually _below_ the tab content; they appear on every tab, even though only companies have filters. And they are not really connected to the company search at all; that is a search for companies, not answers. It would be possible to connect the two, but it's not quick.
The workaround is to go to the Answer Dashboard, filter by project, and then export the answers from there. Even in the long term, I would think the real solution should look a bit more like that.
