Default filter settings not working

The default filter settings are supposed to show data from the most recent year ("latest year") but it is listing multiple years per company - in this case you can see Exxon Mobil data for multiple years listed (2016, 2015, 2014)

I can't make this happen. Was it showing up without the "year" filter?
By default the year filter should be there and it should show "latest". If it's not there, then it should show multiple years, I suppose. But it should be there!!
