I tried to change the name of the designer for a new metric from my name to WikiRate. When I changed the name of the designer, it changed my whole account name to WikiRate. I've changed it back now, but it means that I can't change the name of the designer of the metric. Also, could lead to people accidentally changing their username.
Ah, yes, I see how that interface is confusing.
If you actually want to change the designer, you can edit the name of the metric card (see the mysterious hidden grey buttons on the purple bar).
I would check with Richard before making WikiRate the designer. Generally WikiRate doesn't design metrics.
Ok, thanks for the info! Eventually this metric will have a different designer name, so WikiRate would be more of a placeholder. But I'll leave it in my name for now.
We may want to have a general placeholder for orphaned metrics. But there's been a lot of discussion about whether WikiRate should or shouldn't design metrics, and we probably want to steer clear of all that here ;)
We made this interface less confusing.
