The Code of Conduct prohibits any form of forced, involuntary or child laborin our operations,requires all Sony Group companies to adopt sound laborand employment practices and to at all times treat theiremployees in accordance with applicable laws.1

All Sony Group employees are required to receive initial and periodicrefresher training on theCode of Conductto help ensure an understanding of internal policies.5

Theprocurement stafffor our electronics manufacturing operationsreceives additional training onthe Supply Chain Code standards, how to identify risksof slavery and/or human trafficking, and how toconduct an effective supplier assessment.5

In particular, the Supply Chain Code prohibits forced, bonded or indentured labor, involuntary prison labor, slavery and human trafficking.3

During our on-site supplier assessment, our staffmembersprovide training to our suppliers on the Supply Chain Codeand share Sony’s experience on how socially responsible practices benefit business operations, such as increased productivity and lower turnover.5
