Metric rename leading to lost metric

I tried to rename this metric to this metric https://wikirate.org/Global_Reporting_Initiative+Environmental_non_monetary_sanctions_G4_EN29_a to this metric https://wikirate.org/Global_Reporting_Initiative+Environmental_Non_Monetary_Sanctions_GRI_307_1_formerly_G4_EN29_a but both now have no content except for the metric question, and the original metric no longer has research data associated with it.

In the renaming, I got a rat and cancelled the rename which resulted in the above. Then I changed the cards from Rich Text, back to Metric cards. In the history of the original metric, I clicked 'revert' to the version that Richard created, but nothing happens. Can you manage to revert and I can start the rename/update process over?

Yuck.

It now looks like both exist, although the new one doesn't have any answers.

Did you do this by renaming the metric or the title?

(The old one looks fine now, btw; there's probably a weird caching situation that happens when a rename break halfway through...

Phew, thanks! Glad it's up and running. I renamed the whole metric...which I guess I'm not supposed to do anymore? It's been a while since renaming, but I'll try to remember title renames from now on.

Current issue - I deleted the 307 metric this morning and cleared the cache, but still was not able to do a rename of the other metric title. I just went to try again, and the 307 metric shows up as existing, and when I tried to delete it again, I got a rat

OK, it's fixed now. I think the problem was caused by a card with the metric title in the trash. not sure how it got there or how it foiled everything, though...

Awesome thanks!
