Direct greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (Scope 1), GRI 305-1-a (formerly G4-EN15-a)
What is the amount of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (in tonnes of CO2 equivalent) that the organization is directly responsible for?
To calculate the total direct GHG emissions, we have taken all the direct GHG emissions. As it is not mentioned clearly whether nitrous oxide is direct or indirect, we have not considered and furthermore, we have to convert tonnes to tonnes CO2 equivalent as well.
(Conversion rate : GWP is 28 for methane; GWP is 1 for CO2)
(Conversion : 11614 kt x 28 = 325,192 kt CO2 eq ; 56972 kt x 1 = 56972 kt CO2 eq)
(Calculation : (Direct methane + Direct CO2) = (325,192+56972) = 382,164 kt CO2 eq)

So, 116.14 kt x 28 = 3251.92 kt CO2 eq
Hence, (3251.92 + 56972 =60,223.92 kt CO2 eq)
