Core+Company Report Available+methodology

Many companies provide publications containing information around their environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance. This question is meant to be answered on a year-by-year basis. Please cite the most appropriate report as the source. If you find no applicable report, answer “no” and cite the company’s website or other relevant page.

To answer this question, search:

  • Google (or another search engine). “X csr report” or “X Annual Report”

  • The company’s website

  • The UN Global Compact website. This contains reports of companies who are signatories to the Compact. Use the search bar and look for their Communication on Progress (COP) submissions to see if these contain any reports. Tip: statements of intent (that do not contain any ESG data) do not meet requirements for a ‘Yes’ answer. If a company COP does not report any concrete data on sustainability performance (like greenhouse gas emissions for example), and publishes no other CSR or Annual reports, the answer is 'No'.

  • The Global Reporting Initiative’s Sustainability Disclosure Database

  • Check the Company’s WikiRate page. The sources may already include sustainability and annual reports for the year at which you are looking.
