Student Engagement evaluates how a company builds mutually beneficial relationships with secondary-school, vocational and university students to develop future talent, advance STEM and other critical skills, and support equitable educational outcomes. It covers:

• school & campus outreach – career talks, workshops, hackathons, site visits and guest lecturing that expose students to industry knowledge and career pathways;
• experiential learning opportunities – internships, apprenticeships, co-ops and project-based collaborations that provide hands-on experience, mentoring and potential employment pipelines;
• educational partnerships & sponsorships – co-design of curricula, provision of lab equipment or software licenses, scholarships and grants that target under-represented groups and address skills shortages;
• measurement & disclosure – tracking participant demographics, learning outcomes, conversion to full-time roles and community impact, with governance oversight to ensure programmes align with the company’s workforce strategy and diversity, equity & inclusion goals.
