Public ESG Commitments reviews the formal, time-bound pledges a company makes - and publicly discloses - regarding its environmental, social and governance performance. It covers:

  • statements of intent (policies, roadmaps, pledges, letters of commitment) that align with recognised initiatives such as the UN Global Compact, Science Based Targets initiative, Race to Zero, RE100, Responsible Minerals Initiative or Gender Equality commitments;
  • quantifiable objectives (e.g., net-zero by 2040, 100 % renewable electricity by 2030, zero workplace fatalities, parity in leadership by 2028) and interim milestones;
  • defined scopes and baselines (operations vs. value chain, geographic or product boundaries) that specify what is - and is not - covered;
  • disclosure of governance, resourcing and accountability mechanisms for achieving the commitments, including how progress will be tracked, verified and reported to stakeholders.
