Inclusion in Transition Planning evaluates how a company integrates the needs and voices of all stakeholders - especially workers, communities and vulnerable groups - into its strategy for shifting to a low-carbon, resilient business model. It covers:
- stakeholder mapping and engagement processes (town-halls, advisory councils, focus groups) that surface concerns and priorities related to decarbonization and adaptation;
- just-transition measures - reskilling, income support, job-creation initiatives and social-protection programs - co-designed with affected workers and communities;
- governance mechanisms ensuring co-decision rights (labor representation, community consent) and transparent reporting of how transition investments and impacts are distributed.
