“Forced Labour in the Industry has been identified as a major risk by our Vigilance Plan Risk mapping methodology. The methodology has evolved to include criteria such as manufacturing sector, country and exposure based on the importance of Decathlon’s activity. Aligning with the new evolution in risk mapping, we also include some internal and external data to strengthen further , as below :
Internal data
● Decathlon worldwide expansion relies on subsidiarity for each country to become autonomous with a production team and physical office. Therefore, presence of a local team and Operational Process Manager for Sustainable Development is an important parameter.
● Decathlon purchasing policy by categories of suppliers based on long term project and purchasing volume.
