Direct Contractual Agreement states: "Cardno ID engages professional services and commercial relationships through direct contracts or grants with organisations providing technical assistance, support, administrative or advisory services. Cardno conducts due diligence reviews before commercial arrangement are finalized, including vetting/verification against international watchlists. Contractual and commercial agreements include clauses against forced/slaver labor, as well as provisions for child protection. Cardno maintains direct oversight of the work and funding, and maintains the right to audit engaged companies/organisations" (pg 13)
"The ID division employs most of its workforce on permanent or fixed-term contracts. We have developed and implemented standardized human resources procedures such as wage reviews, leave allowances, and health and wellness benefits implementation. In specific instances, third-party providers may be engaged to ensure compliance with local labour, tax, and social benefit obligations. In these instances, Cardno ID retains visibility over employment conditions of staff." (pg 13)
In page 13 & 14 of the statement it shows the timeline of the agreements and their procedure and codes for modern slavery and it doesn't allow the use of child & migrant labor under the procdure code "child protection policy and procedure" and "fraud procedure"
They also state, "All Cardno ID subcontractors/supplier contracts have built in clauses for Modern Slavery, Countering Trafficking in Persons and Child Protection. Projects also complete an annual certification process as well. To date, Cardno ID has no reported instances of potential Modern Slavery through direct employment or suppliers" (PG 17)

"Cardno has made significant strides to raise our staffs’ awareness and commitment to addressing the risk of Modern Slavery, and we have made progress to ensure our processes, compliance and due diligence are aligned to national laws and industry leading practice."
pg. 12
"Cardno AME engaged Avetta, a supplier risk management software provider, to ensure suppliers conform and comply with health, safety, environmental considerations."
Explicitly identifies lack of policies covering beyond tier 1
p. 8 "Tier 2 suppliers and beyond (medium risk): As a proportion of its services, ID is less reliant on Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers to provide labour, supplies or equipment. In some instances, large-scale procurements, fund disbursement or construction activities may depend on commercial engagements beyond direct sub-contractors. ID does not have high visibility of sub-contractors’ suppliers and therefore there is a risk of being “directly linked” to modern slavery"
