The OUP states that it is in the process of conducting a risk assessment on human trafficking in regions where there is a greater risk that its supply chain might be affected by the trafficking. The Employee Code of Conduct makes one mention of OUP's social responsibility to "take steps to ensure that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our business or its supply chain." (p.9) The company's statement also mentions OUP is in the process of incorporating specific reference to slavery and human trafficking in its Partner Code of Conduct as well as in its Raising Ethical Concerns policy. OUP has also proposed that the business partner questionnaire be updated to include specific questions related to human trafficking and slavery.
