Quoting from grievance mechanism website: "With regards to the handling of conflict minerals, the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) recommends that companies establish a grievance mechanism as an early-warning risk-awareness system for conflict minerals in the "OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas." Parties with specific concerns and information regarding circumstances of extraction, trade, handling and export of minerals (tantalum, tin, gold and tungsten) in conflict-affected and high-risk areas as they pertain to Canon product supply chains (such as facts indicating that those minerals are the source of funds for armed groups in conflict-affected areas) may voice to Canon through this website. Through its supply chain, Canon will investigate the information provided to it, and take corrective action based on the "Basic Approach of the Canon Group Regarding Conflict Minerals" in cases where such action is necessary."
