The rising concern towards climate change and global warming, ONGC has given due importance to pursue a low carbon high growth strategy and has undertaken some path-breaking initiatives towards Green House Gas mitigation. ONGC commenced its CDM journey way back in the year 2006. Currently, it has 15 registered CDM projects with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) that yield (potential) Certified Emissions Reductions (CER) of approximately 2.1 million annually.
