Go through the The Hidden Cost of Jewelry Report to find out whether the company you are researching complies with relevant certifications. If the company you are researching is not part of the report, browse the company's Website and see if the company displays any of the following certifications:

  • Select "RJC-Chain of Custody Certification (CoC)" if you find the company is certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC).

  • Select "RJC-Code of Practices Certification (CoP)" if you find the company is certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC).

  • Select "Fairmined Standard" if you find the company has such certification.

  • Select "Fairmined Gold Standard" if you find the company has such certification.

  • Select "Kimberly Process Certification Scheme" if you find the company hold a KPCS certification.
