Clean Clothes Campaign+Average Gross Worker Salary (EUR equivalent)+methodology
This metric question has been adapted from a questionnaire created by Clean Clothes Campaign to survey factory employees on working conditions in their place of work. To obtain a factory-wide metric answer and protect the workers who have taken part, the data from these individual surveys is aggregated and an average result calculated across all the workers surveyed from a particular factory.
To conduct this research, the Clean Clothes Campaign research team created a questionnaire which can be administered in a face-to-face interview, telephone interview or through a digital survey.
If you would like to use this research metric to gather data on working conditions, please contact us at info@wikirate.org for more information about the research process.
Please note that this metric must be researched through directly surveying factory workers and therefore cannot be included in desk research projects.
***Please Note***
In a number of cases it was impossible to get to a workers' actual gross wage. The gross salary is not always listed on workers' payslips. Gross wages might therefore not always be accurate, as we listed what workers reported.
