Where to find the full list of metrics designed by the different metric designers?+Discussion
Topics can't design metrics. We need to change the designer to a User, Company, or (most likely) a Research Group.
If you can change "Poverty Footprint" to a Research Group, that could fix things, but I'm guessing it's being used as a Topic in some way? You could consider creating a research group called, eg, "Poverty Footprint Group" and then changing the metric name to "Poverty Footprint Group+Worker Wage".
We have 60 of these metrics with weirdo designers and need to fix them all.
Also note that the +contributions pages are gone. They were there as a way to make a uniform page for users and companies back when we thought both would be standard wikirate account holders. We still do think that, but the implementation of company accounts isn't on the current schedule until the coming Fall, and currently their contributions are quite different.
If you see a link to (User)+contribution, it should be changed to just (User). If you see a link to (Company)+contribution, it should be changed to (Company)?company_profile=contributions.
Great, thanks so much Ethan! Very helpful insights as always.
I have added this weirdo metric designers fix to my to-do list. Also, I have made a note of it for the next Open Space call as it might be worthwhile to briefly bring this to the others as well.
Hi Ethan, just now I fixed all these weirdo metric designers.. Most became "user" cards, but some I turned into a "research group" when I knew it was an initiative of 2 or more organisations on the platform. Created a problem in the process (due to wrong linking/transferring I deleted 20 Poverty Footprint metrics..), but Philipp came to the rescue and fixed it for me :) Now only the Poverty Footprint metrics that were retrieved from the trash by Philipp still pop-up in the http://wikirate.org/metrics_with_weirdo_designers card but maybe this is a cache thing? Because when I click on the metric designer it does take me to the Research group page of Poverty Footprint... Sorry to have caused more work for you guys in the process...!
For the "weirdo metric designers" that became users, the metrics they designed aren't showing up on their profile pages. Could this just be a caching issue? Example: http://wikirate.org/Institute_on_Taxation_and_Economic_Policy_ITEP
Those switched to be research groups seem fine: http://wikirate.org/Corporate_Research_Project_of_Good_Jobs_First
Richard, this problem relates to the subtab work that remains for profile pages.
We are currently showing contribution stats for created, updated, discussed, and voted on. But, since ITEP has no account, it hasn't done any of those things. "Designed" is meant to be a subtab, though, and would change things.
