With the adoption of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development it is of high relevance to track and assess the contributions of business to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The UN Global Compact has a large repository of data and information about how businesses act on the SDGs, particularly the Communication on Progress Reports (COPs) received annually from its participants.
The Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) and WikiRate have partnered to develop this project, which aims to contribute to the UN Global Compact and GRI’s “Demonstrating SDG Leadership through Reporting” platform through involving the next generation of business leaders to support and advance the SDGs by proactively identifying, aggregating, analyzing, and sharing the achievements of companies in support of the SDGs as reported in company sustainability reports and COPs.
Key Business themes:
Earning, wages and benefits
Occupational health and safety
Education for sustainable development
Diversity and equal opportunity
Women in leadership
Elimination of forced or compulsory labor
Effective, accountable and transparent governance
As you engage in researching company sustainability performance here, we encourage you to read through and contribute to the conversations below. You can also create threads of discussion on your Research Group page to communicate directly with the WikiRate team and your fellow researchers.
The WikiRate team have researched some companies on these metrics, these examples may help to clarify how the metric data should be added and the types of comments that should support each value.
