Can't find new source to cite after uploading it+Discussion

Hi Neil, thanks for your notification. It's an issue with the way sources and metrics are linked. It's necessary to add "Corporate Social Responsibility Report" to the Report Type of the source (where you've added Integrated Report. It's not intuitive, but something to note for adding future sources). I've added this to one of the sources you add: Naspers - Integrated report 2016, so it's available now in the research page. Let me know if further questions arise!

Hi there,

I had the exact same issue. I never saw any previously added sources, and as a result added the same source over and over and over.

At first I thought it was a browser compatibility issue. So I tried this in MS Edge, IE and Chrome - all had the same issue.

That was yesterday, today though, all of a sudden I have the sources listed and I am able to cite them at a click of a button, rather than adding every single time.

There's a defect in this site and its quite frustrating. Now I have over 20 duplicates of the same source. Yet I can't maintain the source list... I can't remove them now.

Please advise how we can clean up the list of my sources. Its crazy to see the same source 20+ times.

Hi Pierre,

We really appreciate your additional comments, particularly as the site is always developing (we're still in beta). We're quite aware that tagging sources with the CSR report type is unintuitive. At the moment we're using tutorial videos, and guidance to fill the gap while development solutions will likely come in the future. Nevertheless, these comments show that the guidance will need to be improved.

I did notice that you added "Corporate Social Responsibility Report" tag to each of your duplicates. Was the source still not showing up in the page when you added the tag (and refreshed the Research page)? In that case it would be a bug that needs fixing. I can't recreate that problem, so perhaps it has been resolved.

With regards to clean-up of sources, it is possible to delete them, but it looks like you cited most of the duplicates to at least one metric answer, and in that case, it's better to leave them all in place. I deleted those duplicate sources which hadn't been cited. Again, the duplicates have been recognized as an issue which we hope to remedy down the line. In the meantime, since the sources have already been cited, the "Corporate Social Responsibility Report" tag on the sources could be removed so that they do not show up in a research page.

Let us know if any questions or issues arise!
